You will be required to initially create 4 new pages on your site for the anchor text links. Ideally these should be placed in your top level directory and not be called links. Here is an example www.angelproperty.net have a look at the footer. This site also participates another campaign. The pages are called "Useful Commercial sites" and are located in the root directory of their site. It is important that the pages are at the top level and they are not on a page called "Links". I would suggest calling them partners pages or other useful resources. It would also be prudent to include some useful information about your site at the top of your links pages. Once the pages are set up and the text links entered you will be required to update these as new members are added to the groups. I know this is work but the more members the greater the number of one way links back to your site.

The anchor text is very important. It should contain relevant text to your site using keywords & phrases that pertain to your content. Here is an example

The reason we ask for 10 different blocks of anchor text is that we want the search engines to view these links seriously and by varying the text the links should carry more weight. It is important that we use different anchor text so spend a little time when writing these. Ideally, anchor text should precede, follow or surrounds a text link to your site.

This one-way links campaign is designed to help all participating sites and is free for the first year. After the first year depending on the number of sites involved there will be a nominal charge of €99 per year. You can of course go and buy links for your site. You will typically pay €10 for a single PR3/4 link per month and at least €30 for PR5/6. It is our objective to give our members at least 100 inwards links within the first 12 months hopefully rising to 200 making this a very cost effective way of boosting your sites ranking.
